The Guidelines are available for issue 7 of Polluto. This time its an open theme, we have decided to celebrate a new year and a new decade by throwing the gates wide open. But remember, an open theme is not an excuse for generic ideas. We want to be shocked, amazed, excited and awed. We want to experience something new, something brave, something breathtaking. We’re giving you the freedom; now use it to take us places we never expected to go.

Adam Lowe's novel Troglodyte Rose has been shortlisted for a Lambda Literary Award. Also, Polluto and our regular contributors Rhys Hughes and Steve Redwood are nominated in the British Fantasy Society Awards. Polluto is up for Best Magazine, Rhys Hughes' Mister Gum is up for Best Novel, and Steve Redwood's Broken Symmetries is up for Best Collection.

Congratulations to Victoria Hooper who has taken over as acting editor on Polluto. Adam Lowe will continue on as Editor-In-Chief but will now move over to mangage Dog Horn Publishings increasing work load.

After a short wait, Polluto 6 will be available from January 2010. The delay was due in part to our shift from a quarterly to a biannual schedule, the shuffling of roles (Victoria Hooper is now General Editor and Adam Lowe will remain as Editor-in-Chief) and the launch of Adam Lowe's own debut novel, Troglodyte Rose. As you may or may not know, the theme for the next issue is 'Identity-Theft & the Octopus Kid'. Submission guidelines for Issue 7 will follow shortly.
